Who knew there was a gorgeous quarry getaway literally 15 minutes down the road in Harpers Ferry?🤷🏼‍♀️

Kass’s intimate wedding here was like a photographer’s dream playground. I love that she chose to celebrate her special day with a dedicated bridal shoot so we could take our time to really capture all the beauty without the traditional wedding day stress.

Lots of changes since I’ve last posted☀️The last couple of months have been filled with lots of adventures and (good) plot twists! While I’ve stayed relatively quiet on here, I’m sitting on a ton of fun sessions and projects that I can’t wait to start sharing again.

With that being said, here’s all of the tea 🍵:

-My photo adventures in WV are coming to an end in a few weeks, and in January I’ll officially be moving to Hawaii!

-In October, I got engaged to the best man in the world. We’ll finally be living together after about two years of conquering long distance through the military and the pandemic.

- I’m officially in the final stages of rebranding after figuring out some life logistics🥳 and I’m excited to announce that I’ll soon be offering other creative services for my business!

Adding some self portraits into the mix because #quarantine and 2020. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to put my creative hat on, but this year I had time to notice when the flowers popped out and when the leaves started to change. Besides this pic, not a fan of the cheesy fake formal moments💁🏼‍♀️ Before photography I originally wanted to be a journalist, so naturally I'm all about the raw moments whether they're sad, moody, or filled with fun. I want them to be an artsy reflection of reailty. Not everything has to look like the next newest best thing ever, because it's not, and I'm not going to tell you it is. But, photo sessions are definitely some good fun🤘🏻 and they're important for celebrating life & looking at yourself from a new perspective.

Over the past year there have been some major changes both in the biz and personally. Taking some time to take a step back and get realigned has been something long overdue. Originally when I was going to post this, I was going to comment on the amount of isolation going on right now. However, after a while, this photo reminded me of the importance of solitude and self reflection. Though uncomfortable at first, it's something stable to find peace in and lay down a new foundation.
